Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Lead Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to transform technology into opportunity and safeguard critical systems. You will guide security accreditation, manage RMF/ICD 503 processes, and coordinate with ISSMs, PMs, and engineers to ensure readiness across gates.

The role emphasizes mentorship, deep security architecture review, and documentation development, including SSPs and CONOPS.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cybersecurity, information assurance, or security engineering experience.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Mastery of RMF, ICD 503, and IC accreditation processes.
• Strong technical writing expertise, especially in SSPs, CONOPS, POA&Ms, and audit documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer for security accreditation, guiding teams through RMF/ICD 503 lifecycle.
• Drive systems to achieve ATD → IATT → ATO with readiness at each gate.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight across multiple projects.
• Own POA&M development, mitigation strategies, and evidence collection.
