Job summary

Jacobs in Boise, ID seeks a Mid-career Irrigation Engineer to lead technical teams and create planning, design, and construction documents for irrigation and water supply projects. You will mentor Water Resources staff, promote inclusion, and develop client relationships while pursuing business development.

Responsibilities include hydraulics analysis, feasibility reports, construction plans, and cost estimates using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SRH-2D, and CAD; PE license in Idaho/Washington/Oregon

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural, Civil, Environmental, or Irrigation Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in irrigation including hydraulic analysis, conveyance design, storage, impoundment, intakes and pumps, and distribution.
• Ability to work independently, manage design tasks, and mentor early-career engineers.
• PE license in Idaho, Washington, or Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction documents for irrigation and water supply projects in Boise, ID.
• Mentor Water Resources Group staff and promote inclusion within the team.
• Engage in business development, strategy, positioning, proposals, and contracts.
• Communicate with clients on technical design topics, schedules, budgets, and scope.
