Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Trademark Paralegal for the Trademark Portfolio Services department of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. The Trademark Paralegal will be responsible for providing assistance to attorneys in all aspects of trademark portfolio management and enforcement, copyright portfolio management, and IP due diligence. Morgan Lewis recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements.

This position can reside in any of the following locations: Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, Orange County, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Seattle or Chicago with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Flexibility with overtime is required.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing applications for trademark and service mark registration.
  • Preparing ancillary prosecution and maintenance filings.
  • Preparing Trademark Trial and Appeal Board filings and trademark record title update filings.

Experience and qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of six plus (6+) years of trademark prosecution/maintenance experience in a law firm.
  • A paralegal certificate is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of legal research and investigation skills.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, assignments, and client needs.
  • Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands, and function as an integral part of a fast-paced team environment.

For positions in Silicon Valley, CA, and San Francisco, CA the salary range for this position is $95,160 - $152,198. For positions in New York, NY, and Orange County, CA the salary range for this position is $91,500 - $146,325. For positions in Boston, MA and Chicago, IL the salary range for this position is $84,200 - $134,600. For positions in Seattle, WA and Washington D.C. the salary range for this position is $87,800 - $140,450. The base salary wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.

The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
