Job summary

Flipper, a hardware-software innovator, is seeking a QA engineer to design and own end-to-end test coverage across firmware, cloud services and mobile apps. You will ensure reliable device-to-cloud interactions and validate OTA updates, reconnections, and network failures.

You will analyze logs with Kibana or Sentry, build data-driven test strategies, and prioritize automation for complex IoT scenarios. A flexible, remote-friendly culture awaits at Flipper.

Qualifications

• Proven QA experience with complex software systems.
• Hands-on REST or gRPC API testing and log analysis with Kibana or Sentry.
• Experience testing mobile apps interacting with devices via BLE or Wi-Fi.

Responsibilities

• Design and own test coverage for complex E2E scenarios spanning firmware, cloud services, and mobile applications.
• Ensure reliable interaction between devices, backend systems, and apps across integration points.
• Test device-to-cloud communication including network failures, reconnections, timeouts, offline operation, and OTA updates.
• Analyze device and cloud logs to diagnose issues and verify command execution.
• Build test data strategies and prioritize scenarios for automation.
