Job summary

Box is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join our iOS team in Redwood City. You will build, maintain, and optimize the Box iOS app, delivering a polished user experience across devices and platforms.

You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to implement scalable features, focusing on performance and reliability. Expect 3+ years of iOS experience, strong Swift skills, and a passion for clean, testable code in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building and launching iOS applications.
• Proficient in Swift with a solid understanding of iOS development concepts.
• Take pride in craft by creating reliable apps that prioritize observability and reusability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices and company coding standards.
• Able to effectively collaborate with teammates whether they are local or remote.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build user interfaces using UIKit and/or SwiftUI for the Box iOS app.
• Optimize the iOS Box app for performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement scalable features.
• Debug crashes and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in peer code reviews and design discussions.
• Contribute to on-call rotation for issue triage and response.
• Mentor teammates and explore architectural UX improvements.
