Job summary

Oowlish is seeking an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to join a cloud-native engineering team, building modern, customer-facing mobile applications and digital experiences with Swift and AWS. This hands-on role requires strong iOS fundamentals, architecture knowledge, CI/CD, testing, and direct collaboration with customer engineering teams to deliver production-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Production native iOS apps experience.
• Strong Swift development skills.
• Experience with iOS architecture and design patterns.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production apps.
• Experience integrating apps with APIs, SDKs, and backend/cloud services.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD and mobile app delivery automation.
• Strong testing and automation practices.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Excellent client-facing communication and ability to explain trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade native iOS applications.
• Develop high-quality mobile solutions using Swift and modern iOS practices.
• Collaborate with Architects and Engineering Managers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Apply architectural patterns and engineering best practices.
• Integrate mobile apps with APIs, cloud services, SDKs, and external platforms.
• Contribute to mobile initiatives including tracking, deep linking, and customer journeys.
• Write production-ready, well-tested, maintainable, and documented code.
• Build and maintain automated testing for mobile applications.
• Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines for mobile delivery.
• Work with AWS services and cloud-native architectures for mobile apps.
• Troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with customer technical teams.
