Keeper Security is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer, iOS to join the mobile engineering team. This fully remote role offers a hybrid option for candidates in El Dorado Hills, CA or the Chicago metro area.

You will design, build and maintain secure, high‑performance iOS features, primarily in Swift, with Objective‑C as needed, collaborating across Product, Design, QA and backend teams. You will contribute to architecture, performance optimization and release quality, while advancing security

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional iOS software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing production applications using Swift.
• Working knowledge of Objective-C and experience maintaining or integrating with existing Objective-C code.
• Experience designing and shipping large or complex iOS applications to the Apple App Store.
• Experience with AI as it relates to iOS development. Good prompting skills and troubleshooting with AI.
• Strong understanding of iOS application architecture, lifecycle, concurrency and state management.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and distributed services.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance, memory management, debugging and profiling.
• Proficiency with Xcode and Apple development, debugging and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with automated build and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows, code review and issue tracking.
• Experience writing maintainable automated tests for mobile applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on code quality, security, architecture and maintainability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, Design and QA teams.
• Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted development tools effectively to improve coding, debugging, testing and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Due to this role’s involvement in GovCloud environments, qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure native iOS applications and features using Swift.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across Keeper’s iOS codebase.
• Maintain and modernize existing Objective-C components where appropriate.
• Build scalable, reusable and maintainable mobile components that support long-term product growth.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, authentication flows and secure data storage.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage and battery efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues using logs, profiling tools and runtime diagnostics.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to other engineers.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and backend teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Strengthen automated testing, build reliability and release quality across the iOS development lifecycle.
• Support App Store release processes, beta testing and validation of new iOS platform capabilities.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, features and development workflows.
• Evaluate emerging iOS technologies, frameworks and platform capabilities where they can improve Keeper’s applications.
• Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to improve coding, debugging, technical research, testing and documentation
