Job summary

Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to own the iOS portion of the Growth Retention & Monetization team for Everand and Scribd apps. You will lead subscription, paywall, and retention features and ship StoreKit flows.

You will collaborate with backend, web, and Android engineers, improve app stability, reduce debt, and mentor others. This role offers a flexible Scribd Flex work model with occasional in-person collaboration to support customers and products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping iOS apps to the public, including consumer apps at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, with deep experience in SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Experience with StoreKit subscriptions and App Store rules that apply to them.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL a plus).
• Track record of addressing technical debt and migrating code to newer technologies without slowing delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Own iOS features across Everand and Scribd apps including paywalls and retention flows.
• Build in-app purchase flows with StoreKit and manage A/B experiments.
• Collaborate with backend, web, and Android engineers on shared subscription systems.
• Mentor engineers and improve app stability and reduce technical debt.
