Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Senior iOS engineer on the Applied Foundations team to build core mobile experiences for sign-up, account management, payments, safety, and more across OpenAI apps. You will own client-side systems spanning UI, networking, local state, and Apple platform integrations, partnering with backend, product, and safety teams at global scale.

The role emphasizes high-quality product development with reusable iOS foundations and strong security and reliability standards.

Qualifications

4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Proven track record of building high-quality iOS applications in production.
Owned complex, business-critical mobile systems end-to-end.
Experience making deep architectural tradeoffs on iOS.
Fluent in Swift; familiar with Xcode, UIKit, SwiftUI.
