Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer for the Ads and In App Purchases teams to build production-grade iOS apps in Swift. You will collaborate with product design, data science and backend teams, mentor junior engineers, and help shape technical direction across the company.

The role requires strong Swift expertise, deep iOS knowledge, and a track record designing clean APIs and scalable mobile features. Salary includes equity and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Programming experience in Swift.
• Strong proficiency in Swift with production-level app experience.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS development for iPhone/iPad using Swift and Cocoa Touch.
• Experience designing clean, maintainable APIs.
• Experience with multithreaded programming and unit tests.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on software projects with product design and backend aspects.
• Develop, release, and maintain native iOS applications, primarily in Swift.
• Mentor and set technical direction for junior engineers across the company.
