Job summary

Ideate Technologies is seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join our mobile engineering team. You will build native iOS apps for phones and tablets, optimize designs, and support production systems with timely troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include mentoring juniors, conducting code reviews, and ensuring quality through unit/UI tests. Proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, and REST integrations is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of native iOS development experience.
• Expertise in Swift programming language and SwiftUI framework.
• Strong knowledge of Apple iOS SDKs and frameworks.
• Experience with REST API integration.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and automated UI tests using XCTest framework.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and debugging complex issues.
• Demonstrated ability to perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Familiarity with reactive architecture, Combine, and building native features as modules is a plus.
• Understanding of SOLID design principles and iterative development methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
• Experience working with accessibility features like VoiceOver and Dynamic Type.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Enterprise development experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and optimize app designs through review, evaluation tools, and analysis to ensure optimal user experiences for mobile devices.
• Create, test, and maintain native iOS applications supporting phones and tablets.
• Support mobile systems in production by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for new development work, adhering to Schwab development standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and stakeholders, to craft appropriate technical solutions.
• Write and maintain unit tests and automated UI tests to ensure application stability and quality.
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and other backend services.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
• Debug memory, performance, and compatibility issues across different iOS devices and OS versions.
• Implement native accessibility features to enhance app usability for all users.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
• Engage in iterative development methodologies such as TDD and BDD to enhance code quality.
