Job summary

Ameriprise Financial Services in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Research Associate to join the Investment Research Group. You will support quantitative research, build data infrastructure, and develop analytics, dashboards and automated processes to strengthen investment research.

You will work with investment data across equities and fixed income, develop scalable datasets, validate data, and communicate findings to partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, CS, Data Analytics or related field.
0-3 years in financial services, investment research, data analytics or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in markets and analytics.
Experience with large datasets and data validation/reporting.
Experience using analytical or data visualization tools.
Ability to communicate findings clearly through reports and visuals.

Responsibilities

Support quantitative research and due diligence across IRG's coverage using data analysis and reporting.
Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards and reports for investment products.
Enhance investment research datasets and data processes with validation and quality controls.
Conduct quantitative analysis of performance, risk and characteristics; communicate findings.
Identify opportunities to automate analytical and reporting processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs and troubleshoot data issues.
Maintain knowledge of markets, products and analytics capabilities relevant to investment research.
