Job summary

Avangrid Service Company in Augusta, ME is seeking an experienced Lead Analyst for the Investment Planning Team to forecast, manage budgets, and analyze investments across operating companies. You will establish, report, monitor, and manage the company’s investment portfolio to meet financial targets.

The role spans cross-functional business lines, interpreting complex data sets to translate insights into strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, business, data science, or related field.
• Seven years of experience in finance, project management, engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with VBA in Excel and data automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Query, SharePoint and all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls the portfolio of capital projects for Avangrid Networks companies, including planning, forecasting, and regulatory alignment.
• Oversees and manages data and reporting within a Project Portfolio Management System, ensuring data integrity.
• Develops, maintains, and automates recurring reporting tasks to improve efficiency; writes VBA code in Excel and Office apps.
• Identifies process improvements and implements tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Creates detailed spreadsheets and dashboards to analyze trends, forecast accuracy, and variances for multi-year data.
• Monitors performance indicators and communicates findings to leadership to guide decisions.
• Plans and organizes work with minimal supervision and adapts to changing environments.
• Ensures compliance with project management practices and tracks status and portfolio effects.
• Communicates with business leaders to resolve issues and present monthly results.
