Job summary

AB, a leading global investment management firm, seeks a seasoned data analyst to join the Investment Infrastructure Research Data team in Nashville. You will help consolidate quantitative data architectures, migrate data onto Snowflake, and support a new research framework and risk tools.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise data integration within finance, strong SQL/Python skills, and a passion for data governance and modelOps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business data analyst involved in enterprise data integration in the finance industry.
• Experience with market data vendors - Bloomberg, Refinitiv QADirect, MSCI, BarraOne, et al.
• 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries/Python to support data analysis
• Strong project management, analytical and quantitative skills.
• Data modeling and mapping skills, ability to identify business data types and entity relationships.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, market and fundamental research data.
• Willing to take full ownership of projects from analysis to deployment.
• Good communication skills and collaboration with senior analysts and partners.
• Desire to document and share work for long-term support.
• Curiosity in quantitative research and investment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new research datasets and ensure proper data catalog documentation.
• Collaborate with market data vendors to secure trial and license agreements.
• Write data pipeline specifications and map external data to internal models; develop tests and oversee related projects.
• Write data quality rule specifications and configure metadata.
• Oversee Data Oversight and collaborate with operations to document incidents and mitigate outages.
• Author data writeups in the data catalog and manage related metadata.
• Manage permissions around licensed data sets.
• Continuously improve data management and governance processes with cross-team input.
