Job summary

Hightower Advisors, a Chicago-based wealth management firm, seeks a Senior Investment Consultant to partner with advisors, provide investment guidance, and promote firm investment solutions. The role interfaces with research, proposal support, and execution teams to align strategy with client conversations.

The candidate will showcase expertise in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and market context, supporting advisor discussions and client reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in wealth management, investments, or portfolio advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, financial markets, and investment products.
• Proven ability to translate complex investment concepts into simple, advisor-ready guidance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence advisors and support client conversations.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary investment partner to advisors, providing guidance on portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk positioning, and manager selection.
• Conduct portfolio diagnostics and provide insights on opportunities to align portfolios with firm views and model frameworks.
• Support advisor and client discussions by articulating investment rationale, market context, and recommended actions.
• Help advisors prepare for client reviews and key meetings, ensuring investment messaging is clear and consistent.
• Develop high-quality, advisor-ready investment materials, proposals, model comparisons, and portfolio analytics.
