Job summary

The Investigations Security Specialist at Citizens will collaborate with the Investigations and Physical Security teams to prevent and respond to security threats affecting colleagues, customers, assets, and reputation. You will support risk assessments and ensure security measures are deployed across the organization, with a focus on banking regulatory alignment.

The role is based in the San Francisco area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of investigations and law enforcement experience preferred.
• Experience in physical security services or similar, esp. alarm and camera systems, incident response, and threat assessments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of executive protection principles and operations.
• Awareness of banking regulatory environments related to investigations.
• Experience interviewing internal and external parties.
• Working knowledge of investigative or research capabilities, OSINT, and background checks.
• Experience with standards and policies in a financial services context.
• Experience in a financial services environment preferred.
• Experience in conducting security reviews / risk analysis reports.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents across the bank, including robberies, threats, and workplace violence.
• Provide executive protection and event security with pre-event advance work and intelligence.
• Escalate security incidents and risk issues to management with recommended actions.
• Draft thorough investigations reports with summaries, details, interviews, findings, and recommendations.
• Conduct investigations bank-wide in a timely, professional manner.
• Prioritize workload to ensure timely and cost-effective investigations within banking law.
• Conduct tracing, freezing, and recovery of funds as needed.
• Build relationships across business areas and with law enforcement.
• Promote prevention and incident management practices bank-wide.
• Provide metrics, executive reports, and briefings as appropriate.
• Identify and mitigate PS and Corporate Security risks; implement action plans.
• Support delivery of security projects within budget and autonomy.
• Drive PS initiatives and maintain open information sharing.
• Develop and maintain PS policy, standards, and guidelines.
