Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience at GS-09 level in inventory and commodity management.
• Education: Ph.D. or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education, or an LL.M. if related, with transcripts.
• Combination of education and specialized experience as outlined above that directly relates to the work.
• Transcript required when education is used to qualify.
• Time-in-grade rules apply for current federal employees.
• A valid driver's license may be required to operate a vehicle.
• Work is primarily sedentary with some lifting up to 40 lbs and inventory-related activity.
• Competencies include: Conflict Management, Influencing/Negotiating, Manages Resources, Partnering, Planning and Evaluating.

Responsibilities

• Supervises inventory management for expendable assets in the VA Health Care System and catchment area.
• Oversees the micro-purchase program and related supply processes.

• Provides guidance and supervisory oversight to staff in supply and inventory operations.
