International Welding Engineer (IWE) – Call‑Off Contract

About the Role
We are seeking highly experienced International Welding Engineers (IWE) to support global energy and industrial projects under a long‑term call‑off contract. The role involves providing expert welding engineering and inspection support across fabrication, construction, and repair activities in demanding petrochemical, gas, and cryogenic environments.
This opportunity is ideal for senior welding professionals who are technically strong, globally mobile, and comfortable working to stringent international and client‑specific standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide welding engineering and inspection support for equipment, piping, and pipeline fabrication activities
- Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and client requirements
- Support and review:
- Welding Procedure Qualifications (WPQ/WPS)
- Welder and fabricator qualifications
- Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), QA/QC activities, and weld quality management
- Advise on and verify Post‑Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) design and execution
- Provide expertise in repair welding, including repair of castings
- Apply knowledge of NDT techniques in support of inspection activities
- Ensure strict adherence to HSSE requirements during all site and fabrication activities
- Deliver clear technical reports, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- Deploy on short notice to global project locations as per business needs
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification – IIW certified
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in welding engineering
- SMAW, GTAW, (P)GMAW, SAW, PAW
- Laser welding, laser hybrid welding, ESW
- Strong experience across materials used in:
- Petrochemical and gas industries
- In‑depth knowledge of:
- Equipment, piping, and pipeline fabrication
- Welding, welder, and fabricator qualification
- QA/QC systems and inspection methodologies
Business & Soft Skills
- Experience working with or willingness to be trained in client‑specific standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Ability to work independently in planned and urgent deployment scenarios
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- High level of professionalism and adaptability in multicultural, global project environments

- Ability to work on a call‑off basis
- Willingness to travel and deploy globally as required
