Job summary

Uline, a leading North American distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials, seeks a Senior International Trade Compliance Specialist. The role focuses on import/export classifications, regulatory processes, and audit readiness to ensure compliant international shipments.

With 3+ years in compliance and a Bachelor’s degree, you’ll improve classification programs, respond to inquiries from brokers and agencies, and help drive cost-saving tariff strategies while supporting company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of regulatory/compliance experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Classification Specialist (CCLS) a plus.
• Previous legal analyst experience a plus.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review product descriptions and data to identify import/export classifications.
• Create and administer internal audits for classifications and import entries.
• Respond to inquiries from customs brokers, government agencies, internal and external customers and vendors for international shipments.
• Research and create processes related to regulatory issues, licenses and government agency requirements.
• Manage trade compliance programs, including training and audit readiness.

Position Responsibilities

• Review product descriptions and technical data to identify import and export classification in accordance with government standards.

• Create and administer internal audit processes for accurate classifications and import entries.

• Respond to inquiries from customs brokers, government agencies, internal and external customers and vendors for international shipments.

• Research and create processes related to regulatory issues, licenses and government agency requirements.

• Manage trade compliance programs, including follow up, process improvements, internal communication, team training and audit readiness.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• 3+ years of compliance experience.

• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Classification Specialist (CCLS) a plus.

• Previous legal analyst experience a plus.

• Bilingual preferred.
