Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a Senior Accountant (Internal Controls) to strengthen the control environment through process documentation, risk assessment, and control design. You will document key financial and operational processes and identify gaps to advise owners on practical controls.

You will work with cross-functional partners to map end-to-end workflows, develop narratives and flowcharts, evaluate control effectiveness, and support automation of manual activities, with opportunity

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of accounting, internal audit, SOX, or internal controls experience.
• Strong understanding of internal control principles, risk assessment, and control design.
• Experience documenting processes with narratives and flowcharts.
• Experience identifying process gaps and implementing improvements.
• Exposure to automation of manual processes is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain end-to-end financial and operational processes with owners.
• Develop detailed process narratives and flowcharts reflecting current-state activities.
• Assess processes to identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and risks.
• Recommend practical internal controls to strengthen the control environment.
• Advise on control design, implementation, and process improvements.
• Support standardization of process and control documentation across the org.
• Monitor control effectiveness and suggest enhancements as processes evolve.
• Assist in building a formalized internal audit function over time.
