Job summary

Circle is seeking an Internal Audit professional to lead technology and integrated audits across financial, operational, and compliance controls for Circle and its subsidiaries, including Circle National Trust. You will plan, conduct fieldwork, report findings, and track remediation while promoting generative AI to streamline workflows.

You will design risk-based audits, interview stakeholders, test controls, and collaborate with 1st- and 2nd-line risk functions to maintain an accurate risk

Qualifications

• 4+ years of auditing experience, including public accounting or internal audit in financial services, payments, or technology.
• Knowledge of banking requirements and their applicability to IT controls and compliance.
• Strong understanding of audit principles, risk assessment, audit documentation, IT general controls (ITGCs), and SOX compliance.
• Experience auditing cloud-native environments and knowledge of cloud control frameworks.
• Understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency risks as they relate to control environments.
• Ability to analyze complex information, develop practical testing strategies, and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with generative AI models (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.

• Evaluating control deficiencies, identifying root causes, and recommending remediation and control rationalization, including automation and generative AI where appropriate.
• Collaborating with management and 1st/2nd-line risk functions to present findings, track corrective actions, and support control implementation

What you'll be responsible for:

You will support Circle's Internal Audit function by planning and delivering technology and integrated audits over financial, operational, and compliance controls for Circle and its subsidiaries, including Circle National Trust. You will lead audit projects from strategic planning and scoping through fieldwork, reporting, and remediation tracking while collaborating closely with 1st- and 2nd-line risk functions to maintain an accurate risk profile. You will also develop and promote the use of generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to streamline audit workflows and improve testing efficiency.

What you'll bring to Circle:

Core Requirements

• 4+ years of auditing experience, including public accounting or internal audit in financial services, payments, or technology
• Knowledge of banking requirements and their applicability to IT controls and compliance
• Strong understanding of audit principles, risk assessment, audit documentation, IT general controls (ITGCs), and SOX compliance

Preferred Requirements

• CISA, CISSP, or equivalent certification
• Experience with AuditBoard or other audit management tools
• Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite

Base Pay Range: $112,500 - $134,167
