Job summary

Cornerstone Search Partners, Inc. seeks an experienced auditor to deliver hands-on operational audits across the Americas, including the U.S., Canada and Latin America. You will move beyond checklist testing to assess how the business operates and provide practical recommendations to management.

The role involves up to $100K salary plus bonus, with travel less than 10% domestically and internationally. Chicago or Orlando locations are supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting, internal audit or directly relevant audit experience.
• Strong operational audit and/or risk assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational, financial and compliance audits across the Americas.
• Lead risk assessment, audit planning and scoping.
• Perform fieldwork and engage with business stakeholders directly.
• Identify control gaps and propose process improvements.
• Draft audit findings and reports for management and the Audit Committee.
• Track remediation progress through to completion.

Tired of spending most of your year on SOX testing instead of actually auditing the business?

This role gives you real operational audit exposure, not another seat dominated by controls testing. You'll work across the Americas, including the U.S., Canada and Latin America, with direct exposure to how the business actually runs.

You don't need to have spent your whole career buried in SOX. You do need to be ready to think beyond a testing checklist, evaluate how the business operates, and bring practical recommendations to management.

Can be located in Chicago, IL or Orlando, FL. Up to $100K plus bonus. Less than 10% travel, domestic and international.

From day one, you'll be working with:

• Operational, financial and compliance audits across the Americas
• Risk assessment, audit planning and scoping
• Fieldwork and direct engagement with business stakeholders
• Control gap identification and process improvement recommendations
• Audit findings and report drafting
• Remediation tracking through completion
