Job summary

Invesco in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to plan and execute comprehensive internal audits across business areas under the direction of department management.

Responsibilities include understanding business processes, evaluating control design, developing audit programs, performing testing, and documenting findings with clear remediation recommendations for senior management. Travel to Atlanta-based meetings is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5 years of progressive auditing experience.
• 3 years planning and executing audits, including risk assessments and control design evaluations.
• Experience managing audit engagements and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Experience with regulated environments and SOX/COSO compliance.
• 2+ years evaluating internal controls and performing testing with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive internal audits under management guidance.
• Understand business areas under review and document control design.
• Develop audit programs to guide testing and perform audit tests.
• Complete high-quality work papers per department standards.
• Document weaknesses and remediation recommendations, with management input.
• Draft internal audit reports and present findings to senior management.
