Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to assist in risk-based internal audit assurance activities, interpret audit results, identify control weaknesses, and provide value-added recommendations. The role may lead segments of smaller audits and special reviews.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 4–6 years of banking/audit experience, with strong analytical and MS Office skills. Regular, on-site work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, business or related field.
• 4–6 years of banking or internal audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of audit principles, practices and methodologies.
• Ability to learn analytical, audit and facilitation skills.
• Ability to identify root causes and formulate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and lead client interviews; document results.
• Analyse process docs to evaluate control design and efficiency.
• Design and execute testing strategy including data analytics.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and root causes.
• Guide junior team members to achieve goals.
• Present audit issues to management and engagement manager.
• Develop risk assessment and project management skills.
• Deepen knowledge of Truist policies and banking regulations.
• Create work papers per Truist Audit Services procedures.
• Work independently; meet deadlines and accept feedback.
