Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for a hybrid role in Rutherford, NJ. The position offers 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with opportunities to rotate into corporate finance or operational roles based on performance and availability.

Qualifications

2+ years of national public accounting audit and/or large company internal audit experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with audit analytics and AI tools is a plus.
Willingness to travel 10–20% domestically; some locations are within driving distance.

Responsibilities

Execute annual audit plan based on corporate risk assessment and collaborate with audit managers.
Lead multiple audit engagements; develop audit scope and supervise team members.
Prepare work papers including audit analyses and engagement documentation such as narratives and walkthroughs; test and evaluate processes and related controls.
Draft impactful audit findings and partner with management to develop corrective actions.
Develop recommendations to improve internal controls and processes; apply AI and data analytics to gain deeper insights and drive efficiency.
