Job summary

The Building People, LLC in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to support Workplace Strategy and Design Management under the direction of the Lead Designer. You will contribute to projects by applying creative and technical skills to develop and refine interior spaces.

You will use AutoCAD daily to update or develop detailed plans for new construction, renovations, and reconfigurations of campus buildings, while leading aspects of projects and ensuring client

Qualifications

• Experience using AutoCAD to develop detailed plans and drawings.
• Ability to produce detailed 2D drawings including FF&E and building systems.
• Knowledge of workplace strategy and design management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D drawings per established standards.
• Review furniture proposals and prepare specifications.
• Support construction administration and site inspections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine goals and requirements.
• Ensure project status is communicated to client and Lead Designer.
• Maintain current knowledge of trends in A&D and apply solutions.
