Job summary

AvroKO in San Francisco seeks a Senior Designer to lead a design team on hospitality projects—restaurants, hotels, and multi-family spaces—delivering conceptually driven design from start to finish while upholding AvroKO standards.

With 8+ years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite, you will present to clients and coordinate with consultants and vendors. Salary range $95,000–$120,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited school.
• Hospitality experience is recommended.
• 8+ years of post-graduate design experience with significant experience in high-end, conceptually driven design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and other 3D modeling software.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign).
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading design teams and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team toward external presentations including mood boards, 3-D modeling, photoshop renderings, CAD drawings, image research, material selections, high-end FF&E selections, and other duties.
• Engage and present work persuasively internally and externally.
• Liaise between Principal in Charge and design team during the design process.
• Lead production of technical drawings including contract document sets, FF&E specifications, material schedules, and budgets.
• Review documents to ensure design intent and technical accuracy.
• Manage design coordination within the team and with Owner’s consultants and AvroKO.
• Coordinate with consultants and vendors; supervise and mentor interior designers.
