Job summary

NBBJ is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead international and domestic Healthcare and Corporate projects, with additional work in health sciences, corporate, civic, and commercial spaces. You will mentor junior designers, drive design leadership, and balance hands-on production with big-picture project strategy.

The role emphasizes healing spaces for patients and families, collaboration with architects, planners, BIM leads, and other practice leaders, and delivering compelling design

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• Experience leading complex healthcare projects across all design phases.
• Accredited degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• LEED accreditation or commitment to obtain within 18 months.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency with Revit; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; SketchUp, Rhino, and/or 3DS Max a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of healthcare and corporate interiors from concept through CA.
• Mentor junior interior designers and grow the team.
• Collaborate across architects, planners, BIM leads, and urban planners.
• Develop and present design narratives with clear visuals.
• Balance design excellence with project feasibility and client goals.
• Drive designs toward measurable outcomes and client satisfaction.
