Job summary

Nicole Fuller Interiors in New York City is expanding its office and seeks a Senior Interior Designer with a passion for luxury residential, multi-family, and commercial interiors. You will collaborate with a small team, manage design concepts from concept to completion, and develop detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

The role requires 5+ years local experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Studio Designer, plus a strong portfolio and

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of local experience in private residential, multi-family and commercial interiors.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office & Studio Designer.
  • Extensive knowledge of ID principles & practices, including FFE, furniture systems and specifications.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
  • Hand sketching to illustrate ideas.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture and/or Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Nicole, junior/intermediate designer, vendors, sub-contractors & clients to develop interior design concepts for luxury residential & commercial projects.
  • Contribute to development of interior design schemes from concept to completion, aligned with project goals & client expectations.
  • Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation to communicate design intent and support construction.
  • Work on creating budgets and detailed presentations. Source materials, finishes and furnishings meeting project requirements & budget constraints.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury interior design and proven experience in delivering exceptional projects within the private residential, multi-family & commercial sector.

Job Requirements
  • Collaborate with Nicole, your junior/intermediate designer, vendors, sub-contractors & clients to develop innovative interior design concepts for luxury residential & commercial projects.
  • Contribute to the development of interior design schemes from concept through to completion, ensuring designs are aligned with project goals & client expectations.
  • Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation to communicate design intent and support the construction process.
  • Work on creating budgets and detailed presentations. Source materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet project requirements & budget constraints.
About you
  • A minimum of 5 years of local experience working within the private residential, multi-family and commercial interiors.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office & Studio Designer.
  • Possessing extensive knowledge of ID principles & practices, including FFE, furniture systems and specifications.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing creative thinking, attention to detail.
  • Hand sketching to illustrate ideas within the studio and with clients is a huge plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • You possess a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture and/or Architecture.
