Google Mountain View, CA seeks a Senior Interaction Designer to shape UX across XR platforms, bridging IDE tooling in Android Studio with Jetpack Compose and Glimmer.

You'll lead designer partnerships, mentor juniors, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver industry-leading experiences for billions of users.

As a Senior Interaction Designer, you will lead the design of developer experiences (DevEx) and interaction paradigms for next-generation XR platforms across headlocked and spatial ecosystems. This role requires a designer with exceptional tooling and framework thinking—someone who can seamlessly bridge the gap between integrated development environment (IDE) tooling workflows in Android Studio and declarative UI framework architectures in Jetpack Compose, Jetpack Glance, and Glimmer. Operating at the intersection of developer tools, UI design systems, and spatial computing, you will define how developers construct, adapt, preview, and deploy multi-context applications across wearables, that are both 2D headlocked and world anchored spatial displays.
