Job summary

Prescient Edge seeks a Senior Intelligence Planner to support Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning for USSPACECOM in Huntsville, AL. The role requires extensive experience in intelligence planning, joint doctrine, and coordination with DoD components.

A TS/SCI with CI POLY clearance is expected or the ability to obtain one. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in the field, advanced education in a related area, and a track record in planning exercises and combatant command activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning concepts.
• Master’s degree in a related field or a bachelor’s with extensive experience as a substitute.
• Experience with DoD/national intelligence capabilities and joint doctrine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning activities for USSPACECOM.
• Develops, documents, and orchestrates intelligence enterprise during exercises, wargames, and tech demos.
• Coordinates and integrates DoD and national intelligence capabilities to challenge and train the USSPACECOM enterprise.
• Supports readiness reviews and informs JFSCC leadership on intelligence readiness.
• Coordinates with USSPACECOM J3, J5, J7, and J8 and applies joint doctrine principles to planning efforts.
• Monitors strategies, policies, and directives from higher HQ and ensures compliance in planning.
• Documents exercise scenarios, wargame structure, and technology demonstration objectives.
• Documents intelligence assessments, lessons learned, and readiness reviews.

• Job Requirements Description:
• Conducts Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning activities at the newly established USSPACECOM.
• Participates in developing, documenting, and orchestrating the USSPACECOM intelligence enterprise during Combatant Command exercises, wargames, and technology demonstrations.
• Coordinates and integrates DoD and national intelligence capabilities to challenge, train, and assess the USSPACECOM intelligence enterprise.
• Enables intelligence readiness across all ongoing operations and planning efforts.
• Documents intelligence gaps and shortfalls and supports readiness reviews. Informs and advises JFSCC J2, J25, and J28.
• Coordinates with USSPACECOM J3, J5, J7, and J8.
• Applies Joint doctrine principles, instructions, and manuals supporting campaign development, contingency, and crisis planning.
• Monitor and review strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions from higher echelon headquarters and makes recommendations to ensure compliance and consideration in planning efforts.
• Integrates strategy, guidance, and directives into exercises, wargames, and technology demonstrations.
• Documents exercise scenarios, wargame structure, and technology demonstration objectives in support of USSPACECOM priorities.
• Coordinates and documents intelligence assessments, lessons learned, and readiness reviews.
• Desired Experience:
• Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Demonstrates proficiency in common Joint Intelligence Exercise Planning concepts. Previous experience as a Joint Intelligence Exercise Planner at a Combatant Command.
• Desired Education:
• Master’s Degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education: or have a bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related Senior experience for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree.
• A Joint Professional Military Education (Phase II) completion and Joint Intelligence Planner Course (Phase I) completion are highly desired.
