Job summary

Deloitte’s US-E-Consulting API and Integration team seeks an Integration Engineer III to design and implement complex integration solutions across platforms. You will work with Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, and other tools, handle API management (REST/SOAP), and oversee EDI processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in integration, AWS/Azure/GCP experience, and strong coding skills in Groovy/JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with integration tools and products (Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, Workato, Tibco, Websphere).
• 3+ years with AWS, Google Apigee or Azure Logic Apps.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API protocols (REST/SOAP), XML/JSON, and data mapping.
• Proficient with core integration components: connectors, process building, error handling.
• Experience writing Groovy and JavaScript in integration environments.
• Experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and EDI solutions.
• Rational databases and strong SQL skills.
• SDLC methodologies understanding.
• Integration certifications (Boomi, Workato, Websphere, MuleSoft).
• One cloud platform certification (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Spring Boot, JavaScript, Python).
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Integration Design & Architecture: Design complex integration solutions following industry best practices and leveraging various integration design patterns.
• API Management: Design, build, and manage APIs using API Management capabilities (REST/SOAP).
• EDI Implementation & Management: Configure and manage EDI processes and trading partners.
• Development & Deployment: Develop, test, and deploy integration processes across environments (SDLC).
• Troubleshooting and Support: Monitor, identify, and resolve integration issues; provide post-deployment support.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for designs, configurations, data mapping, and decisions.
• Collaboration & Best Practices: Work with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows and adhere to best practices.
• Accountability: Own integration projects and mentor junior team members.
• AI & Agentic Integration: Use AI features to accelerate development and automate documentation.
