Job summary

Salem State University is seeking a Senior Integration Developer to lead the development, support, maintenance and monitoring of our data integration architecture. Working within the Application and Integration Architect team, you will drive ETL strategies and assist other developers in executing data transformations.

You will partner with the data warehouse administrators and business owners to ensure robust, scalable integration pipelines and reliable data delivery; hybrid work in Salem, MA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or related field.
• At least five years of professional IT experience.
• At least five years with data integration and ETL technologies (e.g., Jitterbit, Informatica).
• Experience writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries and developing views.
• Experience with data transformation and data warehouse support.

Overview

The Senior Integration Developer will lead in the development, support, maintenance, and monitoring of Salem State’s data integration architecture. As part of the Application and Integration Architect team, the Senior Integration Developer executes data integration and ETL strategies and assists other developers in doing so. To ensure success as an integration developer, candidates must have strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This position partners with the data warehouse and business systems administrators and with business owners on data transformation and ETL implementations. This position will also act as a resource to ensure that the data warehouse and integration processes at the university are functioning optimally and are supporting the needs of the university.

Required Qualifications

1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems,or a related field
2. A minimum of five years of professional experience in an information technology environment
3. A minimum of five years of experience working with data integration and ETL technologies, such as Jitterbit, Informatica, or equivalent, including custom-coded solutions
4. Experience with writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries and developing database views
5. Experience with database management, converting raw data into actionable information, and preparing data for data integrations
6. Experience with scripting languages in the context of batch processing or system administration scripting

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with SQL technologies such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PowerBI, or equivalent database/SQL-based technologies
2. Experience with server operating systems in the context of managing system automation and file delivery processes (CRON, Task Schedule, sFTP)

Working Location

This is a hybridpositionin Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities,which may require occasional work on evenings and weekends.
