Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an API integration engineer skilled in C#/.NET, REST/SOAP, and enterprise API governance. You will own and support Sentinet-based APIs, drive secure API design with Azure Integration Services, and transition to MS APIM while coordinating across architecture, SAP, and security teams.

The role emphasizes production support, API security, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable integrations in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on C#/.NET development and SQL skills in production enterprise apps.
• Experience designing, developing, securing, deploying, and supporting REST and SOAP APIs.
• Hands-on with an enterprise API gateway or management platform; MS APIM preferred.
• Experience with Sentinet or comparable API governance platform and ownership of integrations.
• Working knowledge of Azure Integration Services incl. Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Application Insights.
• Strong production-support and troubleshooting across APIs, apps, databases, certificates, auth, networks.

Responsibilities

• Own and support existing Sentinet-based APIs and C#/.NET integrations, including config, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support.
• Stabilize high-risk integrations supporting Digital Marketing, Coveo, PIM/product data, Salesforce/ProExchange, Quote-to-Quote, Adobe image services,FreedomPay, pricing, carrier setup, and product syndication.
• Support S/4HANA integration, sandbox/test connectivity, data center migration activities, testing, and production readiness.
• Design and deliver secure APIs and integrations using C#/.NET, SQL, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML; help transition to Microsoft APIM and Azure Integration Services.
• Establish monitoring, release, documentation, and support practices; cross-train resources and coordinate across architecture, apps, SAP, digital, infrastructure, and security.

Job description

• Strong hands-on C#/.NET development and SQL skills, including support of production enterprise applications and integrations.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, securing, deploying, and supporting REST and SOAP APIs.
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise API gateway or management platform; Microsoft APIM experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Sentinet or a comparable API governance and mediation platform; the resource must be able to assume ownership of existing Sentinet integrations.
• Working knowledge of Azure Integration Services, preferably including Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, and Azure Monitor/Application Insights.
• Strong production-support and troubleshooting capability across APIs, applications, databases, certificates, authentication, networks, and dependent systems.
• Experience with API security, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificates, keys, and token-based authentication.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, monitoring, logging, and support runbooks, and participate in after-hours production support when required.

Plusses:

• Seven or more years of application or integration development experience with direct ownership of production solutions.
• SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA integration experience.
• Experience with Salesforce, PIM, digital marketing, product syndication, enterprise search, e-commerce, or payment integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, DevSecOps, and large distributed enterprise environments.

Day to Day:

• Own and support existing Sentinet-based APIs and C#/.NET integrations, including configuration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support.
• Complete knowledge transfer and stabilize the highest-risk integrations supporting Digital Marketing, Coveo, PIM/product data, Salesforce/ProExchange, Quote-to-Quote, Adobe image services, FreedomPay, pricing, carrier setup, and product syndication.
• Support S/4HANA integration, sandbox/test connectivity, data center migration activities, testing, and production readiness.
• Design and deliver secure APIs and integrations using C#/.NET, SQL, REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML; help execute the transition to Microsoft APIM and Azure Integration Services.
• Establish monitoring, release, documentation, and support practices; cross-train internal resources and coordinate across architecture, applications, SAP, digital, infrastructure, and security teams.
