Applied Information Sciences is seeking a Senior DevOps Architect / Integration and Automation Engineer to design resilient integrations and automation services connecting modern apps to enterprise systems for a federal client.

The role emphasizes enterprise DevOps strategy, security reviews, and leadership in automation and reliability across environments. You’ll engage with C-suite stakeholders and shape transformation initiatives as part of AIS’s mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application integration, automation, or backend engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, APIs, JSON, file processing, and secure authentication patterns.
• Experience with message handling, observability, and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Design secure API, file-transfer, event, and batch integration patterns.
• Build and support Azure Functions, Logic Apps, connectors, data transformations, and workflows.
• Implement file generation, validation, retry, and audit requirements.
• Migrate legacy Java transfer components to secure, maintainable services.
• Develop automated tests, monitoring, alerts, and runbooks.
