Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting represents a leading international law firm seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney for its Litigation Practice in Irvine/Los Angeles/San Francisco. The role targets associates at Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel level with strong coverage experience.

The candidate must have a California bar, 3+ years of substantive litigation experience in insurance coverage, and excellent research/writing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Law Review and/or Honors required.
• Active Bar Admission in California in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and providing coverage recommendations.
• Drafting litigation-related documents and participating in litigation proceedings.
• Familiarity with bad faith, CGL, commercial property, E&O, and D&O exposures.
• Strong research and writing skills; detail-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Provide clear, actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review and analyze document collections for litigation prep.
• Communicate with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives.
