Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Senior Authorization & Eligibility Representative to verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients, navigate portals, and ensure accurate claim processing. You will obtain referrals and authorizations for physical therapy, coordinating with patients, physicians, and insurers to keep data complete and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare administration experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, insurers, and public.
• Familiarity with practice management software and insurance authorization processes.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients and add-ons.
• Navigate insurance portals or by phone to obtain benefits.
• Reconcile information in the Practice Management System, EMR, and Phreesia for claim processing.
• Obtain referrals and authorizations for Physical Therapy patients as required.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurers to ensure proper data collection.
• Enter authorization numbers and expiration dates into systems for claims.
• Update insurance notes in EMR systems for relevant departments.
• Maintain medical records per practice policies and procedures.
