Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to provide technical support and guidance in instrumentation reliability across operating units. The role focuses on designing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring instrumentation equipment to ensure performance and safety.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or related field and 5 years in roles supporting instrumentation reliability in the oil and gas industry, including DCS and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or closely related field; 5 years of experience in instrument/equipment reliability and maintenance in oil & gas.
Design, configure, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems including DCS and SIS.
Develop instrument and control work packages (P&IDs, logic diagrams, control narratives).
Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems and stay current with technology in instrumentation and control.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support and guidance for instrumentation reliability across units.
Ensure reliability and integrity of instrumentation systems.
Analyze instrumentation data to support operations decisions.
Design, upgrade, configure, maintain, and monitor instrumentation equipment and performance.
Troubleshoot technical issues impacting operations and reliability.
Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and AFEs for approval.
