Job summary

Relativity Space seeks an instrumentation and controls specialist to lead site-installation projects for Terran R. You will install, calibrate, and troubleshoot sensors across industrial environments, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure safe activation at the launch site.

You should bring hands-on experience with sensors, electrical test equipment, and blueprints, P&IDs, CAD diagrams. This role is based on-site with relocation possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems in industrial or aerospace settings.
• Hands-on with electronic circuits and sensors measuring temp, pressure, flow, displacement, or vibration.
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems using fundamentals and test equipment.
• Experience mentoring technicians on instrumentation and controls.
• Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, signal generators, and digital multimeters.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, CAD drawings, electrical diagrams, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and controls projects from planning through completion, coordinating schedules, materials, and cross-functional activities for launch site build.
• Install, verify, calibrate, and troubleshoot sensors and instrumentation measuring operating conditions.
• Perform technical work independently across instrumentation and controls systems following procedures and requirements.
• Collaborate with pad Engineering to identify risks, communicate field conditions, and implement improvements for safe activation.
• Plan and coordinate assigned work by identifying material needs, ordering components, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation.
• Support installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance in field environments, lifting up to 25 pounds.
