Job summary

Freedom Industries, Inc. seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Superintendent to lead field activities on industrial construction projects. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise instrumentation and control work to ensure safety, schedule, and quality goals are met.

You will manage subcontractors, review drawings, develop sequencing strategies, and ensure documentation and turnover for successful project completion.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in instrumentation, controls, or electrical systems preferred.
• Experience overseeing PLC-based systems and commissioning activities.
• OSHA-30 safety training preferred.
• Experience working on large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications to ensure correct implementation.
• Develop and implement strategies for sequencing electrical work.
• Coordinate installation, testing, loop checks, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Ensure proper documentation including progress reports, test records, and final turnover.
• Oversee quality control of all electrical installations and enforce safety processes.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with other construction disciplines.
• Mentor team members and promote an injury-free environment.
