Job summary

Gulfstream Brunswick seeks a Senior Inspector A&P for Special Missions to support weekend day operations. You will perform inspections and ensure airworthiness and proper documentation for returned-to-service aircraft.

Requires 8 years aviation maintenance experience including 2 years with Gulfstream and 2 years in aircraft inspection, plus an A&P license and strong blueprint-reading skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) to include 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience and 2 years of aircraft inspection experience.
• A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
• Proficient in inspection documentation and ensuring airworthiness per FAA/CAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on aircraft/components.
• Complete inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs to ensure conformity to FAA-approved data.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements during maintenance or outfitting.
• Maintain accurate, neat, legible records of work performed.
• Coordinate with RTS to ensure timely aircraft records.

Experience in complex structural aircraft modifications. Ability to work Friday -Sunday 0600-1630 and occasional overtime.

Education and Experience Requirements

A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Position Purpose:Performs inspections of aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required. documentation properly completed and filed. Works as an integral part of the Quality Control/Assurance team assuring aircraft/components are in compliance to FAA/CAA requirements.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for Quality Control inspections on aircraft/components .
2. Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data .
3. Coordinates mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting .
4. Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components .
5. Coordinates throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner .
6. Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service .
7. Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities .
8. Mentors technicians on effective documentation .

Additional Functions:

1. Communicates with management as required. to identify work assignments and delivery schedules .
2. Provides technical support to inspection personnel in supporting the FAA and/or CAA documented requirements .

Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:

1. Strong computer skills.
2. Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
3. Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials.
4. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics and QC Procedures.
5. Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control systems and methodologies.
6. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
