Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Decision Support Services Insights Analyst in Brentwood, TN. This fully onsite role focuses on transforming complex data into actionable insights, building robust BI solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to support strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 3–6 years in data analysis or BI, strong SQL and Excel skills, and experience with cloud data warehouses like BigQuery and Python.

• 3-6 years of professional relevant experience in data analysis or business intelligence
• 4 years of experience in BI Tool Development
• 4 years of experience with SQL
• 5 years of experience with Excel
• 1-3 years of experience with ETL/ELT processes
• 2-3 years of combined experience in Accounting/Finance or Healthcare Data
• 1-3 years of experience with Essbase/Cube data
• 1-3 years of professional experience with Gen AI/LLMs/Prompt Engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree required

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of robust BI solutions from back-end data modelling to front-end visualizations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data-driven insights
• Manage multiple analytical projects and ad-hoc requests in a dynamic environment
• Have subject-matter expertise in Patient Financial and Cost Accounting data
• Educate users on Patient Financial data and BI tools
• Drive data analysis initiatives to support strategic planning and operational improvements
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract data from large datasets
• Perform ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality and availability
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using Excel with advanced functions and pivot tables
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support and contribute to month-end reporting
• Elicit and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Work with cloud data warehouses, particularly BigQuery
• Develop Python scripts for data analysis and automation
• Apply Gen AI and prompt engineering to enhance insights
