Cribl, the AI telemetry platform company, is seeking a staff-level investigator who operates at the intersection of insider threat, digital/hardware forensics, and executive protection. This hybrid role demands leading complex insider risk cases end-to-end, briefing executives, and planning travel security for principals while imaging drives for legal holds.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across insider threat investigations, digital/hardware forensics, and physical/executive protection (or equivalent depth)
• Lead investigator on insider risk cases involving sensitive or high-stakes matters
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR investigation standards, and confidentiality in internal investigations
• Hands-on forensic skills with standard tooling (EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, X-Ways) and hardware-forensics techniques
• Active or recent certification through IACIS (CFCE) or comparable digital forensics credentialing body
• Experience in executive protection including travel risk assessment and coordination with executive support staff
• Willingness to travel on short notice, including internationally
• Excellent judgment and discretion; able to handle confidential matters under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication translating forensic findings for legal/executive audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead insider risk investigations from detection through closure, including scoping, evidence collection, interviews, findings, and remediation recommendations
• Coordinate with HR, Legal, and Employee Relations to ensure defensible, confidential investigations compliant with employment law
• Build and mature insider risk program components: detection use cases, escalation criteria, case workflows
• Brief sensitive findings to senior stakeholders with discretion and documentation
• Conduct forensic acquisition and analysis of laptops, mobile devices, and network artifacts
• Maintain chain of custody and produce litigation-ready documentation
• Perform hardware-level forensics (disk imaging, teardown) and standard digital forensics
• Apply and maintain relevant certifications (IACIS CFCE or equivalent)
