Job summary

Voltava is seeking an Injection Molding Operations Manager to oversee day‑to‑day molding across multiple Michigan facilities. You will report to the Executive Director of Operations and lead production, staffing, and continuous improvement to deliver safe, high‑quality parts on time.

The role requires strong leadership in a high‑volume automotive environment, collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance, and a commitment to safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, operations management or a related field is required.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred for advanced leadership responsibilities.
• Minimum of 8–10 years manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 5 years managing injection molding operations in a high‑volume environment.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, JIT/JIS and continuous improvement initiatives is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead all injection molding operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity objectives.
• Provide direct leadership and development for plant operations teams including production supervisors and hourly staff.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, scrap, labor efficiency, downtime and on‑time delivery.
• Ensure customer production requirements are met while maintaining quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to improve productivity, capacity utilization and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to optimize tooling, uptime and launch readiness.
