Connexion Systems & Engineering, a leading provider of engineering staffing solutions in Leominster, MA, seeks an experienced Senior Injection Mold Maker to join its tooling team. You will build, repair, and optimize complex plastic injection molds while collaborating with Engineering, Tooling, Maintenance, and Production teams.
The role emphasizes precision workmanship, blueprint and CAD literacy, and hands-on tooling expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on Mold Maker experience in a plastic injection molding environment.
- Proven experience building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molds.
- Strong understanding of injection mold construction and function.
Responsibilities
- Build, fit, assemble, and troubleshoot precision plastic injection molds.
- Perform mold repairs, engineering changes, preventive maintenance, and refurbishments.
- Diagnose tooling issues and implement corrective actions to improve mold performance and reliability.
- Machine mold components using manual and CNC toolroom equipment.
- Assemble and test molds for proper fit, function, cooling, and ejection.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD-generated prints.
- Support mold sampling, qualification, and production activities.
