Job summary

DSJ Global partnered with a nutraceuticals leader to add a senior-level injection molding expert. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead high-volume injection molding operations, owning processes and tooling performance while ensuring quality compliance and continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include process validation, DOE studies, and collaboration with quality teams to pass audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of injection molding experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Plastics Engineering or related field.
• Experience with tooling, mold maintenance, and process troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and GMP.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize injection molding processes to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Lead process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), capability studies, and establish standard process documentation.
• Apply scientific molding, DOE, and SPC techniques to reduce variation and improve product consistency.
• Partner with quality and compliance teams to support audits and ensure adherence to regulatory and GMP standards.
• Drive mold design improvements in collaboration with tooling vendors (cooling, gating, venting, materials).
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for molds and tooling.
• Lead capital and continuous improvement projects including tooling launches, transfers, and equipment installations.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams, troubleshooting molding equipment and processes.
• Champion Lean/Six Sigma initiatives (DMAIC, kaizen, SMED) to improve flow and reduce waste.
• Ensure accurate documentation including process sheets, control plans, SOPs, and maintenance records.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading and optimizing injection molding operations within a high-volume, regulated manufacturing environment. This position focuses on process ownership, tooling performance, quality compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting production teams and driving operational excellence.
