Indigo Beam Consulting in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Systems Administrator to own and manage servers, virtualization, networking, and core technology operations across locations.

This hands-on role requires expertise in Windows Server, VMware vSphere/VxRail, Active Directory, Intune, and backup platforms, with strong vendor coordination and incident response capabilities to ensure continuity and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible systems administration, infrastructure administration, or equivalent enterprise IT experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure technologies.
• Experience administering VMware virtualization environments; experience with VxRail or hyperconverged infrastructure strongly preferred.
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, switching, wireless networking, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, WAN, and SD-WAN concepts.
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms, restore testing, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, endpoint management, and device compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, project execution, and vendor coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments.
• Manage VMware ESXi, vSphere, and Dell VxRail infrastructure across all locations.
• Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related core services.
• Support SQL Server maintenance, availability, and operational health.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, utilization, and availability.
• Manage infrastructure modernization and hardware refresh initiatives.
• Administer and support Cohesity backup and recovery platforms.
• Monitor backup operations, resolve backup failures, and report backup health.
• Perform regular restore testing, recovery validation, and disaster recovery readiness activities.
• Maintain documented backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Identify backup, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure risks and recommend improvements.
• Administer wired/wireless LAN/WAN and SD-WAN infrastructure; manage Meraki devices and network services.
• Coordinate network installations, data drops, cabling projects, and vendor support.
• Serve as a Level 2/3 escalation point for complex infrastructure and security issues.
• Develop technical requirements, obtain quotes, and coordinate infrastructure purchasing.
