Job summary

Indigo Beam Consulting in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Systems Administrator to own our on‑prem infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and security. You will perform hands‑on administration, lead upgrades, backup and DR testing, coordinate vendors, strengthen cybersecurity, and maintain runbooks, documentation, and recovery procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible systems administration or enterprise IT experience.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
  • Experience administering VMware virtualization environments; experience with VxRail or hyperconverged infrastructure strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments.
  • Manage VMware ESXi, vSphere, and Dell VxRail infrastructure across all locations.
  • Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related core services.
  • Support SQL Server maintenance, availability, and operational health.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, utilization, and availability.

Job Description

The Senior Infrastructure & Systems Administrator serves as the senior technical owner for the company's infrastructure environment, including servers, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, backups, disaster recovery, and core technology operations. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable technology services across company locations while supporting business operations, compliance requirements, and operational continuity.

This position is a hands-on infrastructure and systems administration role that provides advanced technical support, manages infrastructure projects, coordinates vendors, supports cybersecurity and vulnerability remediation efforts, and maintains documented standards, runbooks, and recovery procedures. The role also serves as a senior escalation resource for complex infrastructure, network, security, and systems issues.

Responsibilities
Infrastructure Administration
  • Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments.
  • Manage VMware ESXi, vSphere, and Dell VxRail infrastructure across all locations.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible systems administration, infrastructure administration, or equivalent enterprise IT experience.
