Job summary

Progressive Machine & Design, LLC in Victor, NY is seeking an IT – Infrastructure & Security Engineer. This senior role leads architecture, security controls, and major tech upgrades to keep our manufacturing and engineering environment secure and efficient.

You’ll work closely with IT Operations, drive cybersecurity initiatives (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC), and mentor colleagues while delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure. Full-time exempt position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise infrastructure or cybersecurity.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge and vulnerability management experience.
• Experience leading technical projects with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, engineering, implementation, and modernization of core infrastructure and security technologies.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for enterprise networking and secure remote access.
• Engineer and support server, virtualization, storage, data center, and cloud infrastructure.
• Design and improve backup, recovery, replication, and DR capabilities.
• Lead cybersecurity architecture and controls across multiple domains.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
