Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced backend software engineer to advance GPU delivery and diagnostic services within OCI AI Infrastructure. You will help scale AI workloads across thousands of GPUs and collaborate with Network and Data Center teams.

Expect 4+ years of backend experience, strong Java/Go skills, and cloud platform familiarity. The role is based in the US with potential bonus/equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend software development experience.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Java or Go; scripting in Python or Shell required.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket and operational dashboards.
• Preferred: building services on AWS/Azure/Oracle Cloud and multi-AD/AZ environments.
• Experience with large distributed systems and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core architectural improvements for GPU delivery, health monitoring, triage automation, and diagnostics.
• Build systems that support distributed AI, ML, and HPC workloads across GPUs.
• Work with RoCE and Infiniband to deliver high-performance infrastructure.
• Contribute to innovative solutions for customers.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with Network and Data Center teams.
• Deep-dive into stack layers for debugging and troubleshooting.
• Maintain simplicity and scalability in design and implementation.

Salary: $89,200 - 209,500 per year

Requirements

• We require 4+ years of backend software development experience.


• We require a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.


• We expect proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented language, such as Go.


• We require experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python or Shell, for automation, proof-of-concept work, or command-line utilities.


• We need strong hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, and operational tools and dashboards.


• Preferred experience includes building services on a public cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle.


• Preferred experience includes working with multi-AD/AZ and regional data center environments.


• Preferred experience includes large distributed systems and building CI/CD pipelines with robust testing and deployment practices.


• Preferred experience includes partnering with internal customers and converting requests into prioritized work or feature development.
